After the completion of the Guangdong Museum, it will stand alongside the Guangzhou Opera House on both sides of the new urban central axis of Guangzhou, jointly forming the Guangzhou Cultural and Art Square and serving as a landmark building of Guangdong Province. The new museum has a total construction area of 61,800 square meters, a building height of 50 meters, with 1 underground floor and 3 above-ground floors.

The museum uses the digital access control management system. This system is an intelligent management system integrating access control, parking, consumption, security, and other systems. It realizes 24-hour monitoring of all access control, parking, consumption, security, and other systems through computer software, enabling management personnel to keep abreast of on-site conditions, handle emergencies in a timely manner, and store all data in the system for future review.
